RICHERETTE by Richie Rich: A Nostalgic Celebration of Sparkle, Color, and Individuality
Renowned fashion designer Richie Rich made a triumphant return to New York Fashion Week with his new label RICHERETTE, debuting at the BKLYN Studios at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn. The collection was a colourful and playful celebration of fashion, pop culture, and individuality that took the audience on a stroll down memory lane.
As the show began, the audience was transported to the bohemian rock n’ roll world of Stevie Nicks and her style from the 70s and 80s, as well as bringing audiences back to Richie Rich's Club Kid days of the 90s
Models strutted down the runway in outfits that were a bold and playful mix of colours and prints, accessorised with statement jewellery and oversized sunglasses and brightly coloured Sketchers. Some models even wore roller skates, adding an element of fun and excitement to the overall presentation. The fishnet stockings and bare legs plus the colourful and sparkly makeup further emphasised the edginess and sexiness of the Club Kid aesthetic.
Looks to note include a colourful print dress with black lace, an 80s feeling silver jumpsuit with exaggerated shoulders, and a sheer dress with a matching jacket and silver belt.
