LoraShen & Lab91 present a joint location at Ukrainian Fashion Week dedicated to naive Ukrainian art

Naïve art inspires billions of people around the world. It gives hope for a brighter future and makes you look at the world through the eyes of a child.

Maria Prymachenko is a prominent representative of naïve art in Ukraine. The artist has lived a difficult life: a serious illness (polio), the years of World War II, and the loss of her beloved husband. But she found her joy and solace in art. She depicted colorful flowers and fantasy animals in her paintings, which she dressed in Ukrainian national clothes and gave them characteristic features inherent in people.

“I make sunny flowers because I love people, I do it for people's happiness,” Maria said.

Russia's war in Ukraine has changed the reality of Ukrainians, but it has not changed the urge of Ukrainians to seek joy in simple things, such as flowers, ceramics, home decoration, and beautiful clothes, despite all the difficulties.

The location of two Ukrainian brands LoraShen & Lab91 is a visual search for lost happiness. Both Ukrainian brands have collections inspired by the work of Maria Prymachenko. Whimsical flowers and extraordinary animals swirl in fantasy patterns on clothing and ceramics. By joining forces and finding a common desire to give joy in unison with Maria's eternal naive works, LoraShen & Lab91 invite you to a cozy garden near a Ukrainian hut with a large table and an apple tree, Cossack animals and flowers of the Ukrainian artist's imagination. At the location, you will be able to get inspired by the joint moodboard of collections based on the works of Maria Prymachenko, as well as get acquainted with the Lab91 collection and LoraShen ceramics, take beautiful photos, and buy an author's bouquet as a gift to the designer.

On February 14, at 17.30, a joint presentation of LoraShen & Lab91 is expected at the location. The special guest of the presentation will be the artist Daria Smiganovskaya, who will make sketches of guests with allusions to the work of Maria Prymachenko.
