Today, BAFTA announces the nominees and guest presenters who will celebrate another tremendous year for film at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards. David Tennant returns as host and the ceremony will be broadcast on Sunday 16 February 2025 at 7:00pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

Ahead of the ceremony, audiences can tune into Clara Amfo and Alex Zane live from the iconic red carpet on BAFTA’s YouTube channel and Ash Holmes and Jack Remmington will be reporting exclusively on BAFTA’s digital channels, giving audiences access to all the arrivals #EEBAFTAs.

Jeremiah Asiamah will DJ the red carpet and be on the bill with Tina Edwards at the BAFTA After-Party in support of headline DJ, The Blessed Madonna.

It’s a true honour to bring together the international film community in London for this year’s EE BAFTA Film Awards and shine a spotlight on the incredible work that’s gone into creating each and every film nominated. The night is sure to be memorable, with David Tennant returning as host, bringing his affable wit and charm to the evening, alongside performances from Take That and Jeff Goldblum.

Special Award Recipients

Warwick Davis will be honoured with this year’s BAFTA Fellowship, the arts charity’s highest accolade. The British actor, comedian, presenter and producer will be celebrated for his prolific career and as an exceptional advocate for creating a more inclusive screen industry.

MediCinema, the British charity dedicated to improving the well-being of patients in hospitals through the magic of film, will be presented with BAFTA’s Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award to recognise their inspiring work.

Performers

Announced last week, this year’s ceremony will see a special performance from British music icons Take That who will perform their chart-topping hit ‘Greatest Day’ which features in the BAFTA-nominated film Anora. Take That will bring their signature energy and charisma, creating a highlight of the evening for guests and audiences whether a long-time fan or new to their music. Also, beloved actor and musician Jeff Goldblum, seen in the box-office smash Wicked, will bring his unique and personal touch to an original piano performance for the In Memoriam in a moving tribute.

The EE Rising Star Award celebrates its 20th anniversary, and this year’s winner will be presented the award by EE Rising Star alumni Letitia Wright and James McAvoy, the first recipient of the award in 2006. The nominees are Marisa Abela, Jharrel Jerome, David Jonsson, Mikey Madison and Nabhaan Rizwan. It is the only award voted for by the British public and is presented annually to a performer who has demonstrated exceptional talent early in their career.

The 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony will be hosted by the returning David Tennant at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, offering audiences at home an unmissable night of entertainment.

The 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards will be broadcast at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK, and will stream on BritBox International in North America, and be available on demand on BritBox in the Nordics and Australia.
